Seriah Black is a BIPOC mixed-race, cross-genre high fantasy and romance author exploring the dual nature and thoughts of people. When not putting sharp objects in the hands of mercurial antiheroes, Black reads the thickest shapeshifter novels available, chronicles life in journals rivaling the Vampire Diaries, and (occasionally) travels to other countries. Black looks forward to the day when the stories that have burned in Black’s heart and mind for so many years will burn in the hearts and minds of millions of others. Until then, nothing beats a routine self-steeping in a good cuppa tea.

Seriah Black is a 2023 Passionate Plume finalist in the Virgin (unpublished) Speculative novel category for SALTY, WITH A TASTE OF DRAGON, a dragon shifter romance. In April 2023, the short story MAN OF MANY SMILES was published in the Seattle Erotic Art Festival 2023 Literary Anthology.

Black is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, following a Bachelor of Arts in the same field. A long-standing member of the FictionPress community, Black had the privilege of watching contemporaries like Elise Kova and S.J. Maas succeed.
